
Jade Cho is a poet and educator from Oakland, California. A recent Stegner Fellow and finalist for the National Poetry Series, her poetry has appeared in The Adroit Journal, Black Warrior Review, Poem-a-Day, Poetry Northwest and elsewhere. She holds degrees from UC Berkeley, where she studied and taught in Poetry for the People, and Arizona State University, where she served as a June Jordan Teaching Fellow. A grandchild of immigrants from Hoisan (Toisan/Taishan), she is working on a book tracing memory, grief and desire through the archive of Chinese Exclusion and the Chinese Confession Program. She lives and teaches in the Bay Area.
